Transmitter compatibility
This receiver can be used to frequency different brands of high frequency heads. The ELRS project is an open source project, so as long as the high-frequency headers of the ELRS protocol are used, regardless of the brand, they can be linked to each other, but three conditions must be met:
1.The frequencies should be the same, such as 170M or the same other frequency points, etc.
2.There are three types of firmware version certification standards: AU, EU, and FCC. To be consistent, for example, the Front-End Module flashes the FCC 3.0.0 firmware, then the receiver should also flash the FCC 3.0.0 firmware or above;
3.None of them have a linking password, or they all have the same password.
Linking mode
- After soldering the receiver, quickly power the aircraft three times: that is,power on and immediately disconnect – power on and immediately disconnect – power on without disconnecting with each cycle within approximately 1.5 seconds, so that, if performed correctly, the receiver’s LED will flash twice in a fast loop, indicating it is in binding mode. At this time, press the bind button on the transmitter’s LUA script to initiate binding .Once binding is successful ,the receiver LED will remain solid.

- If the receiver cannot enter binding mode and the LED remains solid,it is usually caused by abnormal TX/RX ports on some flight controllers, which forces the receivers into BOOT/flash mode immediately upon powering. Inthis case,simply switsh to another TX/RX port on the flight controller to resolve the issue.
- Why does my receiver light keep flashing?
When you turn on the power, you have not entered the linking state, or the remote control receiver has no signal for 60 seconds, it will automatically enter the WIFI flashing mode, and the indicator light flashes quickly.
How to enter the wifi flashing mode to flash the firmware of the receiver
Regardless of it when it is powered on, it will enter the WIFI flashing mode in about 60 seconds,and the light will flash quickly.

The 170M Receiver is based on the open-source ExpressLRS architecture and firmware.
